Ledaig 10 is a meticulously crafted 10-year-old single malt whisky known for its unique smoky profile, originating from Tobermory Distillery. Much like all their single malts, this peated Ledaig undergoes no chill filtration and retains its natural color. It's bottled at 46.3% ABV and is made using peated barley (30-40ppm) of the concerto variety.

The primary offering from the Eigashima distillery, "Akashi Blend," is a whisky composition consisting of 20% malted barley. Batch 3 of the Virgin Oak Series unveils a mahogany-hued malt enriched with spicy, treacly flavors, a result of its maturation in hogsheads crafted from Spanish Oak (Quercus Robur). This wood originates from the regions of Galicia and Asturias, specifically harvested in the cool, humid climate of the Cantabrian Mountains.
The oak was meticulously air-dried for approximately 18 months, followed by toasting and charring to a medium level. The 27 Year Old Benriach showcased here epitomizes this ethos perfectly. In contrast to many distillery releases, which blend various cask types, this bottling stands out for its straightforward approach. Aged to perfection in a refill hogshead, it harks back to an era when floor maltings were commonplace at the North Speyside distillery, offering a nostalgic glimpse into its history.

Distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2020, it boasts a robust 57.1% ABV. From cask number 1728, this particular batch yielded a limited run of only 278 bottles.

For The GlenAllachie Wine Cask Series, Master Blender Billy Walker initiated the process by expertly maturing their spirit in the finest American oak ex-Bourbon barrels before transferring the whisky into carefully chosen European wine barriques for a secondary aging phase. Adding a unique twist to this release, Billy blended four exceptional wine cask finishes to create a distinctive expression: The Cuvée Wine Cask Finish.
Drawing from the wine industry, the term 'Cuvée' typically refers to a blend that incorporates multiple grape varieties. Similarly, their 9-year-old Cuvée represents a harmonious marriage of spirits from several esteemed wine casks sourced from renowned regions like Bordeaux, Languedoc, and Valpolicella.
Billy meticulously monitored the character development of each individual barrique, skillfully blending the whiskies together. The resulting golden liquid reveals notes of elegant stone fruits, hints of toasted almonds, and a lively touch of zesty orange peel on the palate.

Jpha had best price out there with discount code and free next day delivery. The whisky is great, its high avc so definitely be generous adding water, but you'll be rewarded with lovely honey, caramel, orange, Heather, smoke/peat, Oakey nutmeg flavours. Smoke and peat are quite high for highland park as well, definitely up from the standard 12

Flavours which burst on your tongue
This Malt slowly erupts on your taste buds giving you a smooth yet vibrant flavour of sweet Sherry and an after taste of Oloroso, with a hint of oak.
Its dark colour gives it a warm feel. Personally I prefer it at room temperature without either water or ice.
