Description

At 48% ABV, Smokehead Sherry Cask Blast is a peaty Islay single malt whisky that lives up to its name. It undergoes an intense blast of rich, sweet, and spicy Spanish sherry casks, resulting in a fiery, explosive, and incredibly bold dram that packs a punch so strong it might even turn your skull red.

Tasting Note by Smokehead:
Palate: Thick peat then fruitier, creamier feel - soft rich oak, soothing custard and vanilla. The hit of oily black smoke, with a rich, heavy mouthcoating peaty feel. Then along comes a sweet sticky flavour if barbecued banana, tangy sultanas and dried fruits.
Finish: The peat returns, just as you hoped. This time it's brought some authentic Spanish sherry oakiness with it, pleasingly and disturbingly sweet. And one last sharp salty reminder that you're not dealing with the ordinary here.

Bought this on a whim after purchasing the Rum Cask version for me old man at Crimbo. This one is EVEN NICER! Fruity-licious with smokey undertones. And actually a good £20 cheaper than the other (well known) site I purchased from before. Super quick delivery and a free mini bottle to boot. Cushty.
