Tamnavulin is no stranger to red wine cask finishes, yet this Speyside distillery presents a novel approach by maturing this single malt in casks that previously contained German pinot noir. This process infuses the whisky with abundant red fruit flavours and dry spices, making it an excellent pairing for a meal.

Tasting Note:
Nose: Subtle aromas of tarte cherries, baked apple pie, earthy cinnamon, and orange. 
Palate: Ginger spice, vanilla, black pepper and berry coulis, followed by fresh oak.
Finish: A long finish of dry baking spices and forest fruits.

I found the Tamnavulin Pinot Noir Cask to be a very pleasant Soothing drink I enjoyed it after a pleasant meal with ICE and lemonade and will be buying again in the near future
