The Macallan's Legends Captain John Grant, Laird of Easter Elchies, is honoured in Volume I. Captain John Grant, The Macallan's first true custodian, recounts the story of a dream come true, a landscape transformation, and a new beginning. He prepared the ground for The Macallan by living and working on Easter Elchies Estate and cultivating the influence of nature and community spirit.
This is the first in a spectacular series of single malt whiskies honouring The Macallan Pioneers and their stories.
The exceptional whisky, distilled in 1950 and bottled in 2021, limited to 350 decanters worldwide is hidden behind an astonishing 800-page almanack encased in a Lalique crystal decanter. Captain John Grant's narrative is told in this book, which includes beautiful illustrations by renowned illustrator and artist, Andrew Davidson.
