As a petite yet proud distillery in Scotland, Strathearn's committed team of expert distillers prioritises quality over quantity, harnessing premium ingredients to craft an authentically hand-made Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Aged in Ex-Bourbon, Virgin, and Ex-Sherry Oak Casks, this release boasts a 50% ABV, with no added colouring and no chill-filtration.

Nose: Anticipate a rich malted barley depth with gentle oak

The whisky is great, its high avc so definitely be generous adding water, but you'll be rewarded with lovely honey, caramel, orange, Heather, smoke/peat, Oakey nutmeg flavours. Smoke and peat are quite high for highland park as well, definitely up from the standard 12

Color me impressed with Willett Family Estate 4 Year Rye – it’s fantastic. It’s a very interesting, dense, and unique rye that hits all the right rye whiskey notes for me yet adds a unique twist with added lemon, fennel, caraway seed, and general darkness.

Flavours which burst on your tongue
This Malt slowly erupts on your taste buds giving you a smooth yet vibrant flavour of sweet Sherry and an after taste of Oloroso, with a hint of oak.
Its dark colour gives it a warm feel. Personally I prefer it at room temperature without either water or ice.
