Batch 6 of Balvenie Tun 1509 series. 21 of the finest casks: 4 ex-American barrels, 10 sherry butts and 7 hogsheads hand selected by David Stewart are vatted together in a traditional marrying Tun for three months. The result is a single malt that is rich and deep with many layers of spices.
Tasting Note by Balvenie
Nose: Rich with soft brown sugar, toffee, blossom honey and ginger oak spices.
Palate: Beautiful depth on the palette with a touch of maple syrup, candied orange and runny honey.
Finish: Sweet and malty alongside swathes of oak vanilla and a spicy layer.
