BenRiach Malting Season (First Edition)

The first of a new series from BenRiach, commemorating the reopening of their malting floors in 2012. This single malt whisky was distilled on November 2, 2012, using 100 percent floor malted concerto barley and matured in both ex-bourbon and virgin oak barrels until 2021. For this release, just 23 barrels were chosen, yielding 6,672 bottles.

Tasting Note by BenRiach
Nose: Richly aromatic with barley sugar, almond fudge and poached orchard apple.
Palate: Smooth and rounded with vanilla and honeyed pear, with the lasting nuttiness of slowly kilned malt.
