JPHA supports pandemic heroes charity bottling

It’s been a tough twelve months. While we all deserve a pat on the back, there is one group whose work has been nothing short of heroic: our key workers.

To celebrate their achievements, the family firm behind the award-winning Islay Malt brand, Big Peat, organised a charitable bottling in honour of the UK’s key workers’ efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Big Peat “Heroes” Limited Edition will result in a bulk sanitiser donation to the value of £10,000, donated to a leading UK charitable organisation through Douglas Laing & Co.

Presented in a rainbow-coloured premium gift tube, the Heroes Edition shows Big Peat himself tearing open his doctor’s coat to reveal a superhero costume underneath. The Whisky inside is a marriage of Single Cask Single Malts only from Islay, offered at 48% alcohol strength, without colouring or chill-filtration. It is limited to just 1,500 bottles and is exclusively for the UK, with the sale of each bottle contributing the equivalent of £6.67 worth of sanitiser to a worthy cause.

In support of this brilliant cause, JPHA will be donating the proceeds from our own four cases of Big Peat Whisky proceeds to charity.

JPHA will be running polls across our social media channels to give our online community the chance to vote and decide where the proceeds go. The shortlist is as follows; Cancer Research, the British Heart Foundation, Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity and Save the Children. These are all fantastic causes, and we’re hoping to generate £1000 for the winner.
